I have to tell you I am looking forward to Fall. I will miss my veggie garden. I did learn a lot this year about container gardening. Here, in Maine, on the island, we do not have any soil depth. Maintaining a garden is very difficult and starts with planting.
Next spring I will be prepared. I have all the containers that I will need and my seeds. I will be getting the soil in the next week or so. This weekend I planted all my herbs for inside this winter and I found the perfect ladder-type shelving for them. So far I have Woolly Thyme, Cilantro, Sage, Oregano, Lemon Verbena, and Rosemary. I have a couple more to add :)
My Eggplants and Green Pepper are still producing though I have moved them onto the sheltered porch. I am debating about moving them inside, I think that will depend on how many fruits are still maturing. Has anyone ever tried this? Keeping the plants going all winter?
It might be fun to try.
I hope you are all well and staying safe.
